THE ENPO UR-121 ELECTRO METAL SURFACE
HARDENING DEVICE
Increase wear resistance and extends the service
life of treated parts from 2 to 6 times.
The ENPO UR-121, Electro Metal Surface Hardening
Device, is designed for impregnating wear
resistance metals via metal probes onto external
and inner parts of machine parts, cutting
instruments, die stamp equipment and the application
of electric conductive coatings.

It can easily reclaim/repair worn
tools such as saw blades and drill
bits. It can also be used to form
of a hybrid tool with a wear resistance
between that of high speed steel and
solid Tungsten Carbide, but capable
of sustaining shocks that would cause
solid tungsten carbide to break or
chip.
The ENPO UR-121 coating speed is faster
with a higher quality of alloy layer
density and under the surface impregnation
which is more durable than that of
coatings made by similar devices.

The
ENPO UR-121 process increases wear resistance
and expand service life of the treated parts,
from 2 to 6 times, depending on the surface
and the probe materials. The working principal
is based on spontaneous electrical discharges
as the vibrating probe touches the surface
of the part to be treated. The device has
six operating options with the ability to
deposit a coating thickness on the surface
from 0.2 up to 0.8 mils, with 0.5 up to 3.0
mils impregnated under the surface material.
Currently 20,000 such devices are in operation
worldwide.
